Precautions:

Take the below precautions as well when suffering from a cough:

  • Drink a lot of water and consume a lot of fruits, but avoid too many of those dairy products.
  • Keep drinking warm or hot water throughout the day as it brings most relief to a cough.
  • Taking steam at least a day or a warm compress right at bedtime is ideal when suffering from a cough.
  • Avoid cold drinks altogether when suffering from a sore throat and avoid any kind of sugary foods as well.
